STANISLAVSKI METHOD is taught at Next Actor Studio through scenes and exercises in order to make you, the actor, a superior performer in front of the camera and on stage. We are the only studio in Texas where one can learn the truest, most authentic form of Stanislavski Method, including the original Emotional Memory that originated in the Moscow Arts Theatre of Russia, and the revised Method of Physical Action that was formed when Mr. Stanislavski was living in Paris.

Our class works with techniques developed by Stanislavski to make an actor inspired in his performance, analytical in his preparation and real as in life. Through scenes and exercises, students are expected to achieve the desired results and understand the importance of working with the Method of Physical Action that has been the result of 40 years of Stanislavski's work.

"Method" Acting is practiced by intense actors everywhere such as Daniel Day Lewis, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Meryl Streep, Naomi Watts among others. America's most iconic and intense actors include Marlon Brando, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, and Robert De Niro.

Stanislavski Students of NextActorHouston

Adult, Teen and Kid Stanislavski Method Acting Students of both Private and Group Classes share a scene in the TV series Orphan Train, directed by Stanislavski instructor Trisha Ray.

At Next Actor Studio, we work with Constantin Stanislavski's greatest gift to the world of acting. Continuing the assimilation of The Method of Physical Action, the student will be required to reach a state of being without breaking the psychophysical union.

This particular class is dedicated to disciplined and serious students only. Stanislavski System is not for students who are not open to challenges or are resistant to learning. Introductory Students are able to try out the Introduction to Stanislavski Method session for beginners, to understand the system and work in an easier pace before going through the regular Stanislavski Method Session.
We do not allow auditing of classes due to the vulnerability of students who use their personal emotions to create their roles and are not comfortable to do that in front of strangers, outside their group and who are not part of the film fraternity. The class is taught by a very well-established filmmaker and editor Trisha Ray (please visit her imdb or wikipedia to know more) who will approve students to join the class based on their prior background (or lack thereof) in film acting.

Students who finish beginners' Method are requested to seek advise from their teacher about their next class, instead of joining a wrong session.
Intermediate or non-beginners' method classes are the logical transition after the beginner classes. We do not recommend Intense Session to new or intermediate students. Advanced Students are recommended to attend at least two to three days a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, to practice their scenes and hone their beats. The students of the Method Class must join the Movie Club, so they can learn from the works of Truffaut, Goddard, Kieslowski, de Sica and other great foreign filmmakers.

Teen Students who wish to join the Adult Method Session must have prior acting training and parents are required to receive Instructor's approval. Please contact our studio via phone or email for pre-qualification for enrollment.
